ISF WATERLOO. Spacious-Minds designed the entire space (see Products for rationale behind each design product). In this project, we modified a daycare that was in the basement, lacking both light and a connection to the nature outside. To solve this, we installed mirrors that reflected the nature outside into the interior space, as well as brought in more natural light.
We also installed several other of our products to enhance spaciousness in the space, as it was quite small. Like all of our spaces, we decorated with live plants, and symbols of nature (including a wall that projected beautiful videos of nature). The opening for the remodel for this daycare was accompanied by a lecture by Dr. Dobkins on the science of well-being and spaces.
