This reading corner is a play house structure, made from natural wood and polycarbonate. The choice of natural wood is inspired by research showing that natural scenes (and materials) promote a sense of tranquility and well-being. Polycarbonate is chosen because its partial translucence allows caregivers to see children, even though children feel hidden. In addition, the twin wall polycarbonate with channels creates an artful experience for children and adults in the daycare.
